Hi %$firstname$%,

What a week...we've had snow throughout the week, which certainly makes it feel like Christmas. My daughter and I finished the last of our Christmas shopping, and now all that's left is wrapping the presents. Fortunately, she's wrapping all the presents for me, so all I have to do is get hers wrapped!

I had a huge number of people sign up for my teleclass last Thursday. Unfortunately, due to some major technical difficulties, I couldn't call in to my own teleclass! I was so frustrated.

But, as one of my fellow Law of Attraction coaches told me, "there are no mistakes." So, I let it go, and quickly rescheduled the teleclass for the next day. Because of all the questions that were sent in, I had my very dear friend, Theresa-Maria Napa, of www.RightTrackCoaching.com, join me on the call to facilitate asking the questions. She was wonderful, the teleclass went on without a hitch, and it was a great call. I've included the recording below, just in case you couldn't make it live.

Amazing what can happen when we just let go and have faith that somehow everything will work out.

My article this week is all about what happens when we really let go of the past, so we can let the Universe open an unexpected new door for us. My daughter and I are going out of town to enjoy some special time together before Christmas. We're going to dinner and a play at a cabaret theater, and then spending the night at a luxurious hotel. It will be a fun couple of days to relax and reconnect.

We'll be with my mother on Christmas Eve, and then seeing my ex-husband and his kids on Christmas Day.  The holiday will be spent with those we love.

I hope you're holiday is filled with all those things you treasure the most, and that bring you the greatest amount of joy.

And may every day be filled with an abundance of all that you love.

"What Happens When One Door Closes?"

I ended a relationship recently and afterwards, I decided to do a release process to clear myself from any attachment to the past. I loved the man I'd been involved with dearly, and we still care deeply for each other, but it was time for me to move on.

I have learned doing this type of release work when a relationship ends helps me to 'declutter' my heart, and move on with my life much more easily. Depending on the length and intensity of the relationship, it has sometimes taken weeks, or months for me to completely release and let go of all the emotions. When my ex-husband and I did a parting ceremony together at the end of our marriage, it still took months before and after that for us to release each other completely. But we did, and continuing to do the release work on a daily basis helped me tremendously.

When I felt ready to start moving forward again after ending this last relationship, I called an old friend of mine, who I hadn't talked to in months. I called him mostly to say hi and to see how he was, because it had been so long since we'd talked to each other.

We met last year at a personal growth seminar. Since he is a relationship coach, and also a single parent, he was a wonderful friend to me during the months when I was newly divorced and suddenly raising my daughter on my own again. He was always there with a lot of understanding and compassion.

When I was finally ready to start dating, he told me he was interested in me as more than just a friend. Yet, he didn't want to rush me into anything. We spent a few days together last spring as friends, and had a wonderful time, but nothing more transpired. I wasn't ready, and it wasn't time. I still had more healing and release work to do around my divorce. He knew it.

When I called my friend last week, I assumed that by this time, he was probably in a relationship, or dating someone seriously. He's a handsome guy, a great coach, a successful real estate investor, and also happens to be a fabulous ballroom dancer. I figured he wouldn't be alone for long.

I called with the intention of wanting to reconnect our friendship that had meant so much to me. However, it seems he had been hoping I would call because he was still very interested in having a relationship with me. He told me he knew when we saw each other in the spring, it was too soon for me to start a serious relationship. He let me go knowing I needed to explore being single for a while, which I did. He was right. But now, everything is different.

And since I learned Argentine Tango in my last relationship, now I even know how to dance... imagine that.

What I've learned is when we let go with a full and open heart, new and wonderful things are waiting for us just around the corner. We may close one door, but the Universe can orchestrate things so much better than we can even imagine. Our job is to stay open to let them come in. When one door closes... yes, an even better one opens in its place.
